Shipping from Dubai to Thailand by Sea or Air
There is no road route from the UAE to Thailand. All shipments travel by sea or air.
By Sea
The economical option for household moves, with container arrivals into Laem Chabang, Thailand’s main deep-water container port, or Bangkok Port, followed by inland delivery. Full container for villas and larger homes, shared container for apartments and partial loads.
By Air
Fastest, priced by weight, into Suvarnabhumi in Bangkok, Phuket or Chiang Mai. Suits urgent essentials, documents and electronics.

Thai Customs and Personal Effects
Thailand treats imported household effects carefully, and the rules are among the more specific in Asia. Relief from import duty on used personal and household effects generally depends on your visa and work status, and on when your shipment arrives relative to your own arrival in the country. Shipments that fall outside the accepted window, or that belong to someone without qualifying long-stay status, can attract significant duty and tax. Documents typically required include passport copy with the relevant visa, work permit where applicable, detailed inventory or packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and proof of your Thai address.
Because the qualifying conditions depend heavily on your individual visa category, we go through your situation during the survey and tell you what Thai Customs will expect. Requirements change, so confirm current rules with Thai Customs or your employer’s relocation contact before shipping.

Restricted and Prohibited Items
Thailand restricts or prohibits a range of goods in personal effects shipments, including firearms, ammunition and weapons, narcotics and controlled substances, certain medications, e-cigarettes and vaping products, obscene material, counterfeit goods, and protected wildlife and plant products. Drones and some communication equipment may require permits.
E-cigarettes and vaping devices deserve particular attention, as Thailand enforces strict rules on them. We review your inventory before packing and flag anything that could cause a problem. General guidance only, not legal advice.
How Much Does Moving from Dubai to Thailand Cost?
Cost depends on volume, container type, sea versus air, packing level, dismantling needs, port of entry and inland delivery distance. Island destinations such as Phuket and Koh Samui add an onward leg. Thai import duty and tax are separate from our fee and depend on your visa status and eligibility for relief. Written fixed-price quote after your free survey.
How Long Does It Take?
Air is fastest and suits urgent shipments. Sea takes considerably longer, though the Gulf to Southeast Asia route is shorter than sailings to Europe or North America. Timing varies with sailing schedules, container type and customs clearance. Island deliveries add time. We confirm a realistic window in your quote.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to ship from Dubai to Thailand?
It depends on volume, container type and destination. A shared container to Bangkok costs far less than a full container delivered to Koh Samui. Share your inventory for a free written quote.
Can I move by road from Dubai to Thailand?
No. All shipments travel by sea or air.
Will I pay Thai import duty on my household goods?
It depends on your visa and work status and on the timing of your shipment relative to your arrival. Relief is available in defined circumstances. We review your situation during the survey.
Can I ship e-cigarettes or vaping devices?
No. Thailand enforces strict rules on these items and they should not be included in your shipment. We flag them during your inventory review.
Do you deliver to Phuket and Koh Samui?
Yes, with an onward leg from the mainland. This affects cost and timing, set out in your quote.
Can you store my belongings in Dubai first?
Yes, short-term and long-term storage is available.
