By Air
The fastest option, priced by weight rather than volume. Best for essentials, documents, electronics and a small number of boxes into Heathrow, Manchester or other UK airports. Many clients send an air consignment for immediate needs and follow with the bulk by sea.

UK Customs and Transfer of Residence
If you are moving your permanent home to the UK, personal belongings you have owned and used may qualify for relief from import duty and VAT under Transfer of Residence rules. This relief is applied for through HMRC, and you generally need your reference before your shipment arrives, otherwise charges can apply and your goods may be held at the port. Typical requirements include proof that you have lived outside the UK for a qualifying period, evidence that the goods have been owned and used by you, and a detailed inventory of everything being shipped. Certain items such as vehicles, alcohol and tobacco are treated separately.
Documents to have ready: passport copy, UK visa or proof of right to reside, detailed inventory list, proof of your UK address, and your ToR reference once issued. We prepare your inventory and shipping documentation and guide you through the process. The application itself is made in your name. HMRC rules change, so confirm current requirements before shipping.
Restricted and Prohibited Items
UK import rules restrict or prohibit certain goods in personal effects shipments, including firearms and offensive weapons, certain foodstuffs and plant material, endangered species products, counterfeit goods, and controlled substances. Alcohol and tobacco fall outside duty-free personal effects relief and are handled separately.

How Much Does Moving from Dubai to the UK Cost?
Your price depends on shipment volume in cubic metres, whether you use a full or shared container, sea versus air, packing level, dismantling requirements, port of entry, inland delivery distance, and access at both ends. How Long Does It Take?
