Slovak Customs and Transfer of Residence
Personal belongings imported when you transfer your normal residence to Slovakia may qualify for relief from customs duty and VAT under EU rules, administered by the Slovak Financial Administration. You generally need to evidence residence outside the EU for a qualifying period and prior ownership and use of the goods. Documents to have ready: passport copy, Slovak residence permit or visa, birth number or tax identification where issued, detailed inventory list, proof of your Slovak address, and evidence of your UAE residence.
